Operation Christmas Child Collection: Sunday, November 17

Dear Parents and Students,

For the last month I have been telling the 12:13 class about our first big project of the year: Operation Christmas Child. Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse (the organization that oversees Operation Christmas Child) works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.

I have set a high bar for this year’s 12:13 class: 75 boxes or bust! But there are only two weeks before our collection on Sunday, November 17. It’s time to get busy! Here’s what you need to do…

1. Select the gender and age of the child you will bless with a shoebox gift (Age 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14)

2. Pay the $7 shipping fee online and print out the label with bar code.

3.  Find an empty cardboard or plastic shoe box (average size). If you choose to wrap it (not required), be sure to wrap the box and lid separately.

4. Fill the box with gifts appropriate for the age and gender of your selected child. Click the link below for suggestions.

5. Bring the box and pre-paid label (with bar code) to 12:13 class on Sunday, November 17. We have a special celebration planned!

God has blessed us with such incredible abundance…may the Lord bless you and your family as you share some of his gifts with children around the world.
