10/12/14: Others (Part 3)

This past Sunday we used a favorite kids’ game, “Musical Chairs,” to liven up our discussion on biblical tools for maintaining friendships. We played five rounds. Each time the music began, the students would wander around the classroom. As soon as the music stopped, they raced for an empty seat and began the next round of discussion with a new partner.

Round 1
Tool #1: Serve one another
Tool #2: Bear with one another

Round 2
Tool #3: Be kind to one another
Tool #4: Forgive one another

Round 3
Tool #5: Bear one another’s burdens
Tool #6: Put others first

Round 4
Tool #7: Stir one another up
Tool #8: Encourage one another

Round 5
Tool #9: Confess sins to one another
Tool #10: Pray for one another

As you will see on the student handout (click link below), students were encouraged to reflect on Scripture and ask specific questions about each of these tools.

Together we are growing in our understanding of what it takes to love, serve, and reach out to OTHERS!
